VOTE EARTH
YOUR LIGHT SWITCH IS YOUR VOTE
This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming.
For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.
This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard.
Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.
In 2009, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.
We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.
VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.
Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm.

EARTH DAY 2009!
How Much is One Hour of Your Time?
A man came home from work late again, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
“Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
“Yeah, sure, what is it?” replied the man.
“Daddy, how much money do you make an hour?”
“That’s none of your business! What makes you ask such a thing?” the man said angrily.
“I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?” pleaded the little boy.
“If you must know, I make $20.00 an hour.”
“Oh,” the little boy replied, head bowed.
Looking up, he said, “Daddy, may I borrow $9.00 please?”
The father was furious. “If the only reason you wanted to know how much money I make is just so you can buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you’re being so selfish. I work long, hard hours everyday and don’t have time for such childish games.”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even madder about the little boy’s questioning.
How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After an hour or so, the man had calmed down and started to think he may have been a little hard on his son. May be there was something he really needed to buy with that $9.00 and he really didn’t ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.
“Are you asleep son?” he asked.
“No Daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy.
I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,” said the man.
“It’s been long day and I took my aggravation out on you. Here’s that $9.00 you asked for.”
The little boy sat straight up, beaming.
“Oh, thank you daddy!” he yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow, he pulled out some more crumpled up bills. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at the man.
“Why did you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumbled.
“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied.
“Daddy, I have $20.00 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?”

to all the girls who used to be his number one.
go it from shobe’s multiply page.
The ones who waited all night for him to call, only to check your cellphone the next morning and be disappointed. The ones who made it through that bitter break-up, and moved on with your life, only to have him walk back in months later like nothing ever happened. Those of you who cried on the first day you talked to him again, because you knew exactly where it was going. The ones who listened to him say, "I only want to be your friend," one day and the next, when he doesn’t want to be anything at all. Here’s to the ones that took him back, hoping that maybe this time, he was different, hoping that maybe people do change.
We listened to our friends tell us that we were stupid for even thinking about giving him another chance, got shit from our parents, and even snuck around to see him for awhile. We went through the great stage with no fights all over again. We started this out thinking it would be just friends, and ended up falling in love again. WE wanted nothing more in the world than to hear him tell us he loved us. Here’s to the ones who believed what he said, and sat around all over again, waiting for a phone call that might come in a few hours or a few days.
Here’s for the tears we cried and dried all over again. We wanted so desperately to believe that he was really busy, that he couldn’t possibly call us at that moment, or even that he fell asleep early. We trained ourselves to believe the lies because we wanted to believe the lies because we wanted to believe we had found the one for us. We learned to SETTLE for someone who didn’t treat us the way we should be treated. Here’s for the ones who did their make-up and put on their prettiest earrings, only to hear him say he couldn’t see us that day or night. The ones that never believed it when people told us that there could be someone else. We just couldn’t believe that he could do this to us again.
This is for those great girls, who loved him more than words can say, and took him back no matter what happened last time because they couldn’t bare to look back on their lives and wonder "what if." Here’s to the girls who couldn’t cry to their friends because of how stupid they felt. The ones who held it all in when things came crumbling to pieces again. This is for the ones who couldn’t even bare to even tell their own mom for a fear of an "I told you so." The ones that could tell, just TELL, that they made a mistake by allowing him back into their hearts and dreams again.
We knew that we deserved better the entire time, that we deserved a guy that would call when he said he would, and would come see us whenever he got the chance, one that would care about us. We just wanted the one that we loved like that. Here’s for the ones that FINALLY realized that he never gave a shit about them. Here’s for the time he took to waste, breaking your heart again.
This is for those days spent trying to hold back the tears, and the tears turned into anger, then disappointment. Here’s for the girls who finally realized that we deserve better. This is for those confusing days when you miss him, and want nothing more than to hear his voice, to feel his arms around your waist.
Stay strong, and remember that relationships are like broken glass, sometimes it’s better to leave. When "your song" comes on the radio, turn the station. When the day comes that he realizes what a mistake he made and tries calling you, turn off your phone. When he tries coming to your house, don’t answer your door.
Think of all the broken promises, and the lies, the manipulation and the tears, the wasted moments and staying up all night wondering where the HELL he was. Think of how your heart used to jump when your phone would vibrate in the middle of the night, and how it felt to your stomach when you saw it wasn’t him, and realized that once again, he hadn’t called when he said he was going to.
Someday you’ll find a guy that’s worth all your tears, but won’t ever make you cry. You may think that you’ll never care about someone like you did that guy you always ran back to, but you will. It’s gonna hurt like hell, but it will heal. And the point is, it will heal.

missing you.
i’m so dumb founded when doing perspective drawings,
neither am i good at conceptualizing things.
i get irritated while i’m doing my plates.
i don’t know much about ergonometrics
when it comes to interior design
or anything for that matter.
but what i do know is that,
i do miss you..
and it’s been awhile..
*i’m actually getting good at writing stuff, hehe*
love.
i’ve been missing someone lately.
i know it’s only been days since we’ve parted ways..
but it seems like you’ve been away for years..
though, we get to talk.. for me, it’s still not enough..
i really don’t know the exact words on how i feel..
or what i wanna tell you..
we’ve been through ups and downs,
and right now, we’re on the downside..
i’m hoping that everything’s gonna be alright..
coz i know at the back of my mind,
it’s still you that i want to be with and i want to love..
i hope we’d still be able to find our way back inside the world that we both made.

Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York’s Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series begins by introducing Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), as well as Blair’s boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford). Other characters in the show include Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), who become involved in the lives of the main characters despite being less inclined to merge with the upper-east-side crowd. The series is narrated by a seemingly omniscient character, "Gossip Girl" (voiced by Kristen Bell), who runs a blog about her fellow Upper East Siders — consequently stirring the plot and creating potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends.
originally, the first season was supposed to run 22 episodes.. but due to the on going writers’ strike.. it will only air 13 episodes.. the 11th episode (Roman Holiday) was already aired in Canada, and its gona be aired on US on tuesday or wednesday ata.. and yes, i’ve watched it just now hahaha.. (Blair Bear!)
so basically, 2 episodes to go nalang then the season will end na.. i hope matapos na yung on going writers’ strike.. so we can all be merry haha.. but if the stirke still continues until around january or feb.. goodluck nalang dba haha.. and yea, the 12th episode will air on January 2, 2008 in Canada.. bitin, hehe!
ayy.. according to Tia, some stuff on the novel weren’t mentioned on the series.. or there are some part na naiba dun sa book and sa series.. so i guess we’ll just have to wait for whatever that will happen..
the Soundtrack is also good.. kasi the music supervisor.. is the same supervisor in "The O.C" and "Grey’s Anatomy"
fairy tales
"You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true…"
